Mid-Ozark CASA Funding in Action
- Advocating that each child have a voice in the court system and a loving and caring home.
- There are 155 abused and neglected children in our circuit who have been removed from their homes. We are currently serving 43 of these children. We’ve helped 33 children reach a permanent home and closed their cases. We are getting new cases each week and have volunteers ready to start. We are making a difference!
- Train and support 30+ volunteers, documenting their efforts for the children and maintaining their court files.
- Work closely with Judges, Juvenile Officers, Guardian ad Litem, Crawford County Children’s Division, 42nd Circuit Court of Missouri, Treatment Facilities, In-depth in Home Treatment Centers, School Systems, Psychologists, parents, foster parents and guardians
- Support legislation that advocates the rights of abused and neglected children
- Maintain an office and training facility with 2 part-time employees, office equipment, insurance, mileage, phones & internet
- Our annual local budget is $50,000. Approximately $36,800 of this is raised through: donations, grants, and fundraisers supported by companies and individuals like you.
- Be a member of National and Missouri CASA – meeting their standards
- Participate in the National CASA Quality Assurance Program
- Send directors to the fall and spring program director’s meeting, and CASA at the Capitol day
- Provide data reports to Missouri CASA as needed
- Participate in Missouri CASA site visit by the Missouri CASA Executive Director or the Program Development Specialist
- Pay organizational dues
- Maintain a local CASA volunteer board of directors
